Can technology give us more time? In healthcare, the answer is yes. More time for prevention, faster diagnosis, and more effective treatment. This idea was at the core of our participation in the IT UNPLUGGED conference in Lublin.
The IT UNPLUGGED event, organized by the City of Lublin and Lubelska Wyżyna Przemysłowa, brings together leading business figures, technology experts, and innovators from across Poland every year. It is a space for discussions about solutions that are already transforming many industries – including healthcare.
During the conference, there were many inspiring speakers, including Ziemowit Ostrowski, CSO at Hemolens Diagnostics – an experienced leader of interdisciplinary teams working at the intersection of engineering and medicine. His presentation was titled “How to Hack Time?Digital Cardiology as the Key to the Most Profitable Market of the Future”.
The talk focused on the role of digital cardiology in addressing one of the biggest challenges of modern medicine – the growing burden of cardiovascular diseases in ageing societies.
Modern digital solutions enable earlier detection of health risks, more effective patient monitoring, and support for physicians through advanced data analytics. In practice, this means faster clinical decision-making and a higher chance of successful treatment. This is where technology helps us regain the most valuable resource in medicine – time.
This is also the area where Hemolens Diagnostics focuses its activities. We are developing an innovative technology that may change the approach to cardiovascular disease diagnostics by enabling more precise risk assessment and reducing the need for unnecessary invasive procedures. We believe that the future of cardiology will be based not only on treatment, but above all on early risk identification and effective prevention.
Our participation in the conference reinforced our belief that the digital transformation of healthcare is no longer just a direction of development, but a necessity. Conversations with representatives of the technology, business, and scientific communities showed the enormous potential of cross-sector collaboration.
