Follow the progress of Hemolens Diagnostics
March 16, 2026
On 19–20 February 2026, we participated in the EAPCI Summit 2026 held in Munich, Germany. This year’s edition was guided by the theme ‘Bringing together scientific rigour, multidisciplinary expertise, and training for the next generation.’
The two-day programme created a platform for in-depth discussions on access to care, the implementation of clinical standards, and the evolving landscape of coronary and structural interventions. It brought together around 1,000 participants from across the globe -significantly exceeding initial expectations and highlighting the growing momentum behind innovation in interventional cardiology.
Our company was represented by Jakub Kuć, Medical Data Processing Manager and Prof. Mariusz Kruk, MD, PhD, DSc, who presented an e-poster entitled: ‘Photon-counting CT improves coronary arteries lumen interpretation where it matters most.’
The work was featured in the session ‘Non-invasive imaging of the coronary arteries’ and focused on the clinical value of next-generation CT technology in supporting more accurate and evidence-based decision-making.
Non-invasive coronary imaging remains a pivotal role in modern cardiology. However, accurate lumen assessment remains challenging, particularly in patients with heavy calcifications or complex plaque morphology.
The presentation sparked engaging discussions around the practical implementation of advanced CT technologies in everyday clinical workflows, reflecting the community’s strong interest in solutions that bridge technological innovation with real-world patient care.
The highlight of Hemolens’ participation in the EAPCI Summit 2026 was being awarded a congress grant for the submitted abstract.
During EAPCI Summit 2026, participants took part in an intensive scientific programme featuring expert lectures, presentations of the latest research, and discussions on the future of interventional cardiology. The agenda included numerous thematic sessions on topics such as coronary and structural interventions, as well as presentations of hundreds of abstracts and clinical cases. An important part of the event was hands-on workshops and training sessions, allowing participants to explore new techniques and technologies in practice. The programme was further enriched by interactive discussions, presentations of innovative medical devices, and dedicated educational sessions for physicians.
The strong attendance and vibrant discussions throughout the event underscored one clear message: the cardiology community is actively seeking innovative, evidence-driven solutions that improve diagnostic precision and patient outcomes.
We are proud to have shared our insights with the global cardiology community and remain dedicated to developing technologies that help clinicians make better decisions – precisely where it matters most.
More than a conference, the Summit served as a global forum where clinicians, researchers, and industry experts exchanged insights, addressed systemic and policy challenges, and brought the Heart Team concept to life through real-world, multidisciplinary collaboration.
We are eagerly looking forward to the next edition of the event. To stay up to date with us, we encourage you to subscribe to our newsletter.
